Does a countered Rebuke count as played for Darius?

I cast Rebuke, but my opponent responds with Not So Fast. I want to know whether Rebuke still counts as having been played for Darius's ability.

If Rebuke is countered by Not So Fast, does it count as played for Darius?

No. Played means resolved. A countered spell does not count as played for Darius. The recent rules change about playing cards applies specifically to Legion, not to all play-count effects.
