Does Alpha Wildclaw stop Vilemaw's combat damage passive?

Does Alpha Wildclaw's ability preventing enemy spells and abilities from choosing your smaller units negate Vilemaw's passive that stops smaller enemy units from dealing combat damage?

No. Vilemaw is a passive effect that does not choose units, so Wildclaw does not apply. Wildclaw's own ability is also passive.
