Can you play an Action after a Reaction during a Showdown?

During a Showdown, Player 1 plays an Action spell and Player 2 responds with a Reaction and passes Focus. Player 1 wants to know whether they can play another Action before the Reaction resolves.

Must the chain fully resolve before another Action can be played during a Showdown?
