Can you react between repeat payments to tap a readied unit?

If I pay the repeat cost on a spell that readies a unit twice, can I respond in between the two readies so I can tap the unit, or do both readies happen simultaneously?

No. Both instances of readying a unit happen simultaneously, so there is no window to tap the unit between them.
