Must Vi stun a unit if legal targets exist on attack?

I move Vi into an occupied battlefield and start a showdown. Her attack trigger goes on the chain. Do I have to target a unit there, or can I choose to stun no units so the trigger fizzles?

You must choose a legal target if one exists. If there is no valid target, you do not. If the unit you target has Deflect, you may decline to pay the Deflect cost and the trigger will fail to finalize.
