Does Pyke's legend bounce resolve before Rengar's ambush showdown begins?

My opponent uses Pyke's legend to return a unit to hand. I respond by ambushing with Rengar to that battlefield. Does the bounce still happen before the showdown starts, or does the entire showdown resolve first before Pyke's legend goes off?
