Can Tactical Retreat dodge Hidden Blade by leaving the battlefield?

I have a unit at a battlefield targeted by Hidden Blade, which will kill it and make its controller draw 2. Can I use Tactical Retreat to recall that unit to base instead of dying, and still get the draw? I was trying to use Tactical Retreat to replace the kill rather than merely dodge by leaving the battlefield.

If you replace the death with Tactical Retreat, it works and Hidden Blade still resolves. If you dodge the effect entirely by breaking the target restriction — for example by leaving the battlefield so the unit is no longer a legal target for the kill — it does not work and you do not get the draw.
