Does Gust on a token count as dying for Viktor?

I have a non-Recruit token unit at a battlefield and Viktor leader in base. When my token is returned to hand with Gust, does that count as dying for Viktor's ability?

No. Returning to hand is not dying. The token cannot exist in a non-board zone and ceases to exist.
