I play Stormbringer targeting my Volibear unit in base. My opponent responds with Star-Crossed on that unit.

Does Stormbringer still deal damage based on its Might?

If they bounce the Volibear you chose, no. "Its Might" is checked on resolution and mistargets because Volibear is no longer in your base.
