Does a unit moved by Overzealous Fan stay ready after Ride the Wind?

My opponent used Ride the Wind to move a unit to my battlefield ready. I used Overzealous Fan to kill itself and move their attacking unit back to base.

Does their unit return to base ready because of Ride the Wind, or exhausted because of Overzealous Fan?
