Does Thrill of the Hunt on a held battlefield score a point on the opponent's turn?

No. You cannot lose control while items are on the chain. While Thrill resolves, it banishes a unit and puts it back on the chain as pending. The first point the chain is empty is after the unit re-enters the battlefield, so no control is lost, no showdown, no conquer, and no point.
