Can you re-split Alpha Strike damage after Stupefy on a subset of targets?

You choose a subset of the originally declared targets. In your scenario, both units remain valid targets and you must still assign 1 damage to each since you have to split. You do not choose how to split until resolution — your opponent only knows which units will be hit when they cast Stupefy.
