Does combat healing happen if Akali moves a unit out before the damage step?

During a combat showdown, Akali can only move with a spell or effect, and the targeted unit remains in combat even if Akali leaves. Units heal after combat damage is dealt. Combat healing is not tied to damage being dealt — whenever a combat showdown ends, units heal. Combat showdowns never become simple showdowns.
