Can you order Lucian and Warwick triggers to kill a damaged unit?

If Lucian, Purifier and Warwick, Feral enter a battlefield together, does the chain let Lucian deal damage and then Warwick kill the damaged enemy? Can the opponent only answer with Reaction spells like Star-Crossed, or can Charm and Ride the Wind help?
