With Zhonya's or Soraka replacing the outcome, do I still pay Cruel Patron's cost?

I play Cruel Patron, but Zhonya's Hourglass or Soraka, Wanderer changes what would happen to the unit. Even if that replacement changes the final result, do I still pay Cruel Patron's cost in full?

Yes. You pay Cruel Patron's costs when playing it. Later replacement effects can change the outcome, but they do not refund costs already paid.
