Can Deathgrip save a LeBlanc Reflection from Gust before it copies, and does the buff remain after copying?

LeBlanc's Reflection appears as 0 Might before copying and is targeted by Gust. Can I react with Deathgrip to raise its Might so Gust fails, and if that works, does the Reflection keep that bonus after it copies the unit?
